Cronkite News Work

From January 2026 to April 2026, I was in the Cronkite News: Sports Bureau, a professional newsroom in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. Throughout those four months, I created eight pieces of broadcast content. Each of them told different stories surrounding the state of Arizona. Along with that, I also got to anchor two Cronkite News shows that are broadcasted on its YouTube channel.

This package talks about a 9-year-old girl, Malia Robinson, who competed in the Elks Hoop Shoot National Finals in April of 2026. I got to talk to her about her preparation for this huge event, along with two other people who mean a lot to her and her growth as a young girl.

This newscast was one of two times I got the chance to anchor for one of the newscasts for Cronkite News. In the show, me and my partner got into the latest news about the Phoenix Suns and some Arizona connections to The Masters.

This package is about how the Valley Suns celebrated Hispanic Heritage Night. The G-League affiliate of the Phoenix Suns brought out several local small businesses and turned Mullett Arena into a flea market. The items for sale included food, jewelry and pottery.
