I have always loved sports since I was a little kid. Those sounds that define sports caught my eyes and ears immediately. When I heard a basketball bouncing on hardwood or the crack of the beat for the first time, I was obsessed. Once I realized I was not athletic enough to reach professional levels, I discovered sports broadcasting.

 

The energy that the greats like Joe Buck, Harry Caray and Mike Breen give every time there is a walk-off home run or a game-winning shot enhanced my excitement as a fan. That excitement turned into a love for the industry that will never leave me. Every time I am on play-by-play for a broadcast, being in front of a camera or writing an article, I try to accomplish two things. The first is that I want to always be authentically myself at all times. The second is that I want to keep fans engaged while also keeping close tabs on whatever game I am covering, just like the greats before me did.
